SUSTAINABILITY

Caring for people and the world around us is a vital part of what we do. We want to take care of the nature we are privileged to operate in, as well as the people we are fortunate to work with. Social responsibility is a shared commitment for all of us. Below, you can read our full thoughts on responsibility and our sustainability pledge.

To us, the word “responsibility” encompasses all aspects of sustainability – caring for both our environment and the people around us. Environmental responsibility means the values and practices in our operations that focus on protecting and respecting nature. Social responsibility relates to fair and equal treatment of all individuals and organizations we work with. Many of our practices – such as favoring local products and partners – support both environmental and social responsibility.

We also value cultural and economic sustainability, quality, and safety. We have been awarded the Ekokompassi certificate by the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation and the Sustainable Travel Finland label by Visit Finland. In addition, we are part of the We Speak Gay community of LGBTQ+ friendly tourism businesses, and we hold the Welcome Cyclist badge at Koitelin Tunnelmatupa, Seelari in Hietasaari, and Hotel-Restaurant Liminganlahti.

YMPÄRISTÖVAIKUTUKSET

Tiedostamme toimintamme ympäristövaikutukset ja pyrimme minimoimaan haitat. Meille on myönnetty Suomen luonnonsuojeluliiton Ekokompassi -sertifikaatti ja Visit Finlandin Sustainable Travel Finland -merkki.

KEHITYMME, SEURAAMME

Kehitämme itseämme vastuullisuuden kentällä. Molempiin meillä oleviin vastuullisuussertifikaatteihin sisältyy oman vastuullisuustoiminnan jatkuva seuraaminen ja kehittäminen. Yrityksessämme vastuullisuustyö ja sen kehittäminen on koko työyhteisön yhteinen asia.

HYVÄNTEKEVÄISYYS

Haluamme vaikuttaa ja jakaa hyviä asioita, siksi lahjoitamme asiakasmääräämme perustuvan lahjoituksen meille tärkeille kohteille valituista tiimikisa-tuotteista sekä melonnasta ja koskiuinnista. Vesiaktiviteeteista kertyneet varat lahjoitetaan Suomen Luonnonsuojeluliiton vesiensuojelutyöhön ja tiimikisoista kertyneet varat lahjoitetaan Oulun seudun Mielenterveys ry:lle sekä SPR:n Oulun osaston ystävätoimintaan. Lahjoitukset tehdään vuosittain tammikuussa.
